So it is the end of Summer and we are looking for ideas for kids party activities!

- Since it is summer how about a pirate party with walk along a plank. Hosttess with the Mostess has a fantastic Shipwreck Inspired Backyard Pirate Party here. Go ahead and check them out!
- Golf anyone? Grab the kids together and give them a chance at getting them a hole in one! Check this out on a how to make your own Target Golf Game.
- How about a dress up game for the little ladies. Let them come on in pick stuff out of a box and go on a tea party or whatever they are interested in. Life Lesson Plans shows us How to Build a Dress Up Box
- How about a DIY Race Track for Animals the way Twodaloo does it. The boys can bring their own animal to race. Just mention it in the invitation!
- Or make a Flying School and get the kids to Paper Plane Target Practice!
- Or Plan your own Craft activity and get the ideas from The 36th Avenue!
- How about a Recycle Theme party. Get the children to craft but teach them about Recycling in the process! Here are 25+ ideas!
- What child doesn’t like a good Lego Challenge so get them on a Lego Quest.
- How about throw some fishes to the penguin?
- Arrange those colourful Craft supplies and introduce them to making their very own Muppet! Make it and let them get imaginative with each other to put on a show!
- Prepare them for Back to School with a little revision on sight words. Hopscotch to recognise the words!
- Make and play your own backyard Croquette! May be give them some English hats and fans too while they play in the heat. Make your hurdles out of Pool noodles like here.
- Get some Sidewalk Chalk for them and they get to not just play but take it home too!
- Beat the heat with coloured ice and ice cube painting!
- Or let them make their own treat. How about Mini Banana Smores.
- Let them Graphic Design because kids can never have enough stamps and it is so easy. They get to take it back home!
- Make your own Name/letter Slippers and walk in them!
- Paint on stones and keep them as keepsakes as Memories of the Summer of 2014!
- Make Fabric beads before hand and let them make necklaces for their mums!
- My favourite that has been a never fail… Pull out a meter long of construction paper and lay it on the floor. Get a few paints in the middle. The kids sit around on all sides and draw on the area in front of them . Hang this up for everyone to see. The parents sign them and everyone clicks a picture to take it home as memories! - Buy plain white tees and welcome the kids with a few paints and stencils. Design your own designer shirts! Stencil Process on Fabric!
- May be get a Canvas? You can get some or make them too and inspire a Kandinsky Inspired Colour Study!
- Buy a pack or two of crafts sticks ( a pack consists of a 100 on our side of the world) and some velcro dots easily available at most stationaries. Stick them and get the kids to make the biggest geometric design possible or let them play by themselves. Warning: We have done this and this is addictive! Get the idea here.
- How about fishing… with a magnet through rice? Make poles with magnets for each child before hand. The post contains a free printable to print your fishes too. Easy peezy!
- Welcome the kids and their parents to have some fun, starting with crawling through the obstacle course! (Note to self: Son’s seventh birthday! Haha)
- Make your own Pool Noodle Shooter and get shooting pom poms. Oh yeah.. Them kids gonna get wild but hey! It’s a party for them and it should be wild and fun!
- Interested in getting them to decorate cakes? How about teach them numbers in the process. This is an idea!
- Hide a toy and get everyone set on a Lost Toy Discovery Trail.
- Or give them a camera and send them on a Photo Scavenger Hunt!
- Or let them be Archeologists and dig into their cookies…
- How about flipping /tossing coins. It sounds like an old game but read this post and you will get everyone on the floor guessing and enjoying.
- How about making something fun out of nothing. Egg cartons and these peek-a-boo penguins!
- Dinosaurs. My son and his friends love everything Dinosaurs so this is what he found amazing. Bake toy dinosaurs into eggs and let the kids find them and take them.
- Need to get them something cool and cooking. Choose one of the 15 Popsickle Recipes to make with your kids!
- Make a cardboard toss game and get tossing and throwing loops.
- Make some baking soda Dough and let them make something to decorate! Bake it to take it back.
