Bounce Inc Jeddah Summer Camp Review and Giveaway JeddahMom

Last week, my children and I attended the Bounce Summer Camp. Here is the Bounce Inc. Jeddah Review + Summer Camp details. I am giving away three tickets so read to the end!

Bounce Jeddah is holding a Tramp Camp during July and August 2018. We were invited to attend a session last week. I let my children enjoy the camp while I explored the Women’s section to see what they had to offer.

As an expat raising children in Saudi Arabia, I am always looking for kid friendly places to take my children. Even before Bounce launched last year, I had been thinking that it is must go place. This place is packed with excitement. Also, it is a great place to hang out with your girls!

Bounce Inc. is an Australian based company with branches in over 30 countries. Jeddah branch is unique in having a separate section for women.

This year in Ramadan, Bounce Inc. Jeddah held a Tramp Camp for kids 3-13 years old. Seeing how successful it was, they extended it till August as a Summer Camp. We went there this Sunday to check it out for ourselves.

My children had never been to a Trampoline Park before but they are trampoline crazy. They are always excited to jump on one when they see them at parks or events. A few years ago, I had set up a jump castle in their room. (Never mind the shock when they busted it in less than a week!)

Bounce is located right behind Homeworks at Nas Mall, next door to Danube on Madina Road. (Click the link for directions.)

When we arrived there, we found that there were two entrances. One is for the Men and Families, while the other is for Women. Unsure where the Summer Camp was being held, we went to the Women’s section first. After taking the stairs upstairs, we found ourselves at the reception.

The Summer Camp is between 11am and 3pm. We were a bit late but still decided to enjoy whatever was planned for the day.

I asked Coach Makram to tell me more about the schedule for each day. He said they usually begin at around 11.30am after rounding up the kids, registering them and writing their details down. The first half an hour, the kids are shown some stretching exercises. After that, they are taken to the tramp park. Before they begin, the kids need to understand the rules very clearly because accidents happen when you don’t follow the guidelines. For this reason he takes a few minutes to explain what the rules are and also the etiquettes. After this little briefing, they are allowed to jump around on the trampolines for some free play.

The kids are between the age of 3 and 13 years of age so not all types of jumps can be done together. Depending on the child’s age, he teaches them jumps, flips and bounces that will build their confidence and strength.

As they practice the new tricks that they are learning, kids can have fun exploring the park too. Older children above the required height can also go to the X-Park which has zip-lines, bouldering wall and some extreme fun. (See pictures below)

After about 30-45 minutes, when he notices that the kids may be tiring off, they are taken for some juice and snacks. Refreshed, they then come back to do something else like drawing and coloring or doing different activities that the coach has planned for them. All these activities are also age appropriate.

Once the activities are done, the kids are taken upstairs for Lunch and a movie. Generally for lunch they have chicken strips, pizza, fries, juices, burgers, a salad, etc.

After lunch and some more relaxing, the kids are back at the trampolines to play slam dunk basketball or dodge ball or if they are younger, then more free play till the parents come to pick the kids up.

Do I recommend Bounce Inc. Summer Camp?

Well… my children thoroughly enjoyed the time spent there. It is proven by research that bouncing and jumping on a trampoline helps build children’s confidence. The kind of lifestyle that we live here in Saudi Arabia, with minimal to no exploration or outdoor activities, kids hardly get a chance to work their muscles or their lungs! Living in a hot climate we find it very difficult to take the children out in the summer.

Health benefits: Jumping on a trampoline for even 10 minutes is equal to half an hour of running. It helps with cardiovascular health, helps body detoxify by increasing the blood circulation, strengthens the immune system as well as increase your energy levels. It is a fantastic way to get the children active so as to avoid childhood obesity. Jumping also helps diabetic people with their energy levels. See this excellent post about the 10 ways jumping on trampolines can benefit the over all health.

So… Yes, I say that I really loved the idea. My children are really excited to go back to it so definitely, we will  be going there again this Summer InshaAllah.

Women’s Section at Bounce Inc. Jeddah:

As I mentioned, Bounce also has a Women Only section. While I was watching my kids jump, I wanted to have some fun too so off I went to check out the ladies section.

After getting myself the skid proof socks, I asked one of the instructors to teach me some tricks.

(See my Insta Stories Here)

OKAY… bad bad idea if you haven’t been on a trampoline since you were a kid because the first jump, I lost my balance!

I must tell you the Coach in Ladies section are highly experienced! I only managed to learn the hand sit (after all falling on your behind is no big deal, right!) but those girls … WOW they are PRO!

I am DEFINITELY going back with my gang to have a Bounce party someday soon!

After Dark Party: Did you know that once a year, Bounce Inc. has a girls only tramp party? A hear it may be in August. ::hint hint::

Birthday Party Hall: The Men’s and Family section has a party hall where you can book them for a party. They have kids meals and music and jumping with party favors at the end. Definitely a fun place to celebrate a birthday. See their website for details and pricing.
