We use this printable Salah Chart for our family. Every time I pray Salah, I make Dua for myself and my children. My husband does the same. The difference has been eye opening!

Wondering how to motivate someone who doesn’t pray Salah. I know this so well…

You may have started your child on namaz from a young age. You may’ve taught them step by step age by age ways to establish the habit of prayer. Then they grow a little older and you try harder to teach them to go to the mosque. You have a prayer chart… you do everything but they still don’t pray.

It’s frustrating. I know.

As Muslim mothers, it’s our responsibility to ensure that we raise righteous children. Children who establish prayer and understand the five pillars of Islam. But raising a child, let alone one who follows the Quran and Sunnah comes with its set of challenges.

It’s mentioned in the Quran that we will be tested with our children just as we will be tried with everything we poses. The mere fact that God chose to bless us with a child is a huge responsibility.

And know that your properties and your children are but a trial and that Allah has with Him a great reward.

Holy Quran 8:28

Again it is mentioned:

Your wealth and your children are but a trial, and Allah has with Him a great reward.

Holy Quran 64:15

And then again…

Do the people think that they will be left to say, “We believe” and they will not be tried? But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars.

Holy Quran 29: 2-3

When our children don’t pray, we feel like we are failing.

It’s commanded by the Sunnah that we can punish our children if they neglect their prayer. But… you see that all that reminding, nagging and punishing is fruitless. This is not how you want to parent.

When you feel overwhelmed – turn to God

Pray for them. There is so much power in prayer. We all know how a parent’s prayer is the best for a child. Here is a simple Salah chart that I have made for my family.

Printable Salah Chart with Dua

I made this Salah Chart for my family years ago and it is one of the best chart that motivates not just my children but also me and my husband. It is like a promise to ourselves and a prayer that God guides us in raising children who will pray Salah even when we are not there to guide them.

I hope you will find this chart helpful for your family too.

The Salah chart comes in two pretty colors. It is free to download – a gift from me to you.
