February Blogging Adventure
Do you love adventures? February was a whole big adventure for me. I moved my website from Blogger to self hosted WordPress this past week and only yesterday, have we really gotten to our new ‘home’. It is really like moving your home and all its belongings and not in any way less! I had been preparing for it the past three months and now, finally, I am sighing with relief! Ofcourse, I still have a lot of work here but at least, we are here. The ‘unpacking’ and arranging will happen gradually.
I know that most of my readers don’t understand blogging and all the technical details around it. I will not get into the technical things but some of you have been here and gotten to an error page. I have received some letters and messages on our Facebook page too when you couldn’t get to the patterns. I am really sorry. It was supposed to be down for only a few hours and those hours, were supposed to be when nobody was awake but… well… I was shifting my site myself with no technical knowledge. My site was down for a full 24 hours before I realized what had happened. But the good news is… we are back. All’s well… All’s well!
Let me introduce you to the new page and the changes that I am working on:
I have moved the site as it is. The pages are the same. The posts are the same too. Some of the categories have become uncategorized and I am working on it but most are okay. I still have to add the featured images so if you are used to finding my posts by recognizing the picture, that will be not possible for a few days. There are over 370 published posts here. 🙂
I have a lot of editing to do. I welcome all kinds of feedback from you because my main reason for moving has been to give you all a better experience. I love hearing from you!!
Will there be any new patterns soon? Ofcourse! I have been writing patterns and I will be updating soon but this month, I think I want to go back and edit the older ones first to check for errors and complete them. Don’t worry! In the process, the items that didn’t have written patterns will be updated too! You can check the older posts and if you want any particular one to be done first, do recommend it!
My reason for posting this hurried post today is to let you all know that we are back. Welcome back after the break! 🙂
