Gold and Diamonds: Crochet Hat
I crochet to keep myself sane. Have I said that before?
This past week, we have been that family, who falls sick together. (Come on say it with me, ‘A family that falls sick together stays together!!‘)

I got nothing done at home and I had to cancel all my scheduled posts because suddenly, I had more matter to write or… I didn’t think the topic appropriate or… there were too many posts in the same category. Isn’t it annoying when that happen? You are sick and nothing works. Does that happen with you?
But, I did get something done. I finished this pretty thing.
I am calling it Gold and Diamonds because it is a variegated yarn in shades of gold but the design has a series of diamonds. It is that same yarn that I made that Fall Hat with. This pattern, yes, I have to tell you that, is not for the faint of heart. It is an adventure for advance level crocheters… expert level, if you may call it. The reason I say this, is because not only do you need to know some advance crochet skills but you will also need to know how to read the pattern like a pro.
I have been trying to write the pattern for this for quite a few hours now and I am so confused at getting myself wound into a web. I tell you, it is like trying to solve a mathematical formula! Seriously, no kidding… Have a look.
No, don’t try to copy that. I am sure I can think of a simpler way to make you guys understand it. This pattern, I feel, will need to be written in a series of posts. This part, is where I show you the complete picture and details. I will need two more posts. One to show you how to make the hat, and another post to show the edging and finishing. No, that edging isn’t as simple as it looks.
So for now, you have ‘drooling’ rights and I have had my ‘bragging‘ rights. ::smile::
Enjoy.
Love the hat! My crochet skills are not up to making it, but I can admire it.
