Let’s get Tatting!!
Remember when I said that there would be ‘some new challenges’ for me… yes, then, I was talking about tatting too. It’s hard to stay away. My last tatting related post was this and I don’t think I have ever gotten around to posting my last project. Here is a picture in case I’ve never mentioned it before.

| A Jan Stawasz Flower motif done last year or so. |
I started tatting in 2008 and everything that I learnt was because I joined the 25 Motif Challenge. In 25 motifs, I taught myself (online) most of what I know today. There was a Tat-Along project too that helped me make my very first doily and I must say, I have only made that doily a bit too many times since then. The best thing about the 25 motif challenge blog is that you get to see the work of not only some of the best tatters around the web but also people who are just starting out. You get to follow their adventure and their art and at the same time get inspired and encouraged to try out something new. All the reasons why I need to give myself a Tatting Challenge once again actually!
I have been wanting to do a couple of Jan Stawasz doilies for a while. Then there are a couple of other eye candy I have been drooling around at. I am not sure what I will do in a year but I intend to tat 25 projects. I am not even sure how long it will take to tat them all because I have some big things planned up in my life for the coming year and somewhat my calendar is booked. (We have another baby coming in too.) Yet, I want to tat. Simply for that reason: I want to tat because I want to tat.
Let’s get tatting!
Here is what I started… and then I came to the second round… screamed… and ran off to find a bigger ball of yarn. ((Smile)) We all need more yarn, don’t we?
So, what’s it going to be? I hope you can come around to read about it next week.

I love your flower in the top picture!! 🙂 And I can't wait to see what your new project is going to be!! 🙂
