Ramadan and Eid Activity Book – Crafts and Coloring Activities
Crafts and Coloring Activities in Ramadan are a very easy way to teach children about the culture and traditions of this Holy Month. Here is a Ramadan and Eid Activity Book that I created just for you!
Growing up as an Indian expat in Saudi Arabia, I had many muslim friends at school. Come Ramadan time, I would notice how similar we were even though we were from literally around the world. There are some traditions and rituals that almost all muslims follow during Eid and Ramadan time.
From feasting at Iftaar and sharing our country’s food to wearing pretty dresses at Eid; from decorating our homes to putting Henna on our hands, I was amazed that all muslim kids do that!
So now that I am a mom raising my own little expats all alone without family near by, I created some fun coloring and craft sheets for my kids to learn some fun Eid traditions. Whether you are a muslim mom looking for some easy quick ideas for kids or may be a non-muslim teacher wondering what to offer your muslim students at Ramadan time. Your children will love the ‘invitation to color and craft’ ideas mentioned in this book.
Printable activities that help you craft and create while learning, are a fun way to learn. From Eidi Envelopes to play dough mats to learning literacy or numeracy to decorating our homes, printables make it so very easy. I particularly love that I can offer my child a sheet, some supplies and watch as they imagine, create and craft some wonder!
Ramadan Activities Printable Coloring Book
The Ramadan and Eid Ebook contains a little intro into what Ramadan is, why Muslims celebrate it, what are their traditions and then 10 printable sheets on the different themes.
Each sheet can be worked in as many ways as you like. You are not limited to only color them with pencils but can in fact use it with other mediums as well. It is perfect as Invitation to play or even to use in a group setting when you are entertaining children.
There are gift tags, décor and Eid envelope as well. So much fun for children to personalize gifts to send or even just to use for sending iftaar to their friends with a personal message.
My children loved the idea of decorating these with sequins and buttons. You can also use glitter pens and other fancy stationary to brighten it up.
There are craft activities like design your eid dress. Attach ice cream sticks to turn them into puppets and then dress them up. Tell a Ramadan story using them.
The Ramadan bookmarks can be colored and cut. You can laminate it after or print on cardstock in the beginning. Punch a hole and make a tassle.
The bundle contains a sheet for practicing Henna designing too. If you have older girls, place the printable in a plastic insert and give the child a real henna cone to practice!
The Iftaar spread doubles up as a playdough mat to make food with plasticine or playdough. Children can also use toy food to place on it for pretend play.

How to print the printables
- The printable sheets are best printed on A4 size copy paper but some of the décor may need to be printed on cardstock.
- For the playdough mat, after they have colored, I like to place the sheet in a plastic insert so that the children can easily use it more times and the color doesn’t transfer to the white paper.
- You can use any kind of medium like color pencils, crayons, markers, water colors or even posters for the coloring.
WANT TO RAISE CHILDREN WHO PRAY SALAH WITHOUT NAGGING?
We use this Salah Chart for our family. Every time I pray Salah, I make Dua for myself and my children. My husband does the same. The difference has been eye opening!
