The 24hr Hat!
What can you do in 24hrs? How about crochet a 24hr hat? 🙂
This is one beret pattern that I was completely in love with. It isn’t actually a beret but more cloche style and it looked simple enough for even an almost intermediate level crocheter like me. Since I am a new mom to a little baby, I am always looking for quick patterns that I can do between feedings and chores. I found I didn’t need to spend all my time on it. Just a few minutes here and a few there and it was done in just 24 hours! The pattern is from Hend Meid. This 24hr hat is from a Russian site and the name of the pattern translates to ‘Tenderness’. You can use Google Translation to translate. The page has the complete pattern with diagram and step by step with pictures too. It is fairly easy even if you have crocheted before. I stopped right before the edging to add 5 rows of single crochet for the band. I then continued with the edging/rim of the hat after that. You can add flowers and leaves for added fun… but for now, I left it as it is.
I enjoyed making this hat but unfortunately, it was sometime before I could make my daughter wear it. This hat has now been modified and I used it to make my daughter’s Rapunzel hat by adding a plait of blonde hair to it.
You can see the complete tutorial to make the Rapunzel and Cowboy Braid hats here.
It's beautiful ma sha Allah!
