The Stork’s Visit and Made with Love Crochet Projects
A baby girl meant that I was ‘inspired’ again to resume my hobbies. This is the first of the ‘Made with Love’ projects. A jacket that was too big for a two month old. 🙂 It fots a two year old! I made it out of cotton yarn that I had had for sometime and it meant that I abandoned another project to make this! 🙂 The pattern is a motif that has been joined with chains. I joined 30 of those motifs with chains and then made a sc border all around.
The motif is very simple:
Chain 4, join to make a ring.
Ch3 for first dc. 11 more dc and join with slip stitch to the top of ch3.
Ch2dc cluster. *Ch2, 2dc tog* 11times. Ch2. Join to top of Ch2dc cluster.
Ch3 for first dc. *Ch3, dc ch3* all around. Slip stich at the top of first ch3.
Join the motifs together with *ch3, sc* all around.
I made a pattern of what the jacket should look like and then placed the motifs on it. Joined them one by one accordingly. After joining them all, I made sc stitches all around. Three rows of sc for the neck and arm holes. It is quite straight forward and once you have all the motifs, it gets quite easy to join.
This, was the ‘hoodie’, that was dreamt up. The pattern too is my very own. Someday I hope to write it up for all you mums who love hoodies but for now enjoy the pic. 🙂
There have been more adventures in crochet but I guess, they will have to wait for another post. It is good to be crocheting agian… I cannot believe, I actually, was bored off of this for 9months!! Can you? 🙂
Aaaah! Congratulations! That is such wonderful and happy news.

These are fantastic! I love that beautiful little jacket. And your little booties in the next post are gorgeous. Goodness, this is a pattern you designed? I am so impressed and in awe!

Glad to see you are blogging again. You are right. Once a blogger, always a blogger. 🙂
