W is for Who is it-What is it Guessing Game
Today, as part of #RainyDayAactivities A-Z, I am writing the W is for Who is it-What is it guessing game. Rainy days are really those times when you need lots of activities to keep boredom at bay. Of course there are many times when the weather is good too that you just need a fun activity to try at home. I am joining Thaleia from Something2Offer to bring you Rainy Day Activities A-Z . Join me and the others to get some really fun ideas to keep the kids entertained.
W for Who is it- What is it is a simple guessing game that will have the kids in giggles and really excited. You don’t need much material and you can play it anytime anywhere you like. It doesn’t matter what age your child is too. We have been playing this game with babies as well as with older kids! Here is how to play the game.
W is for Who is it What is it What can it be Guessing Game
What you need:
Various toys, small objects that are either related or non related.
A blanket/ box/ or a furniture behind or inside which you can hide the object.
How we play:
- Hide the toy in your blanket/box or get behind a couch and get the show on.
Start by showing a tiny little part of the object like a tail of the dinosaur or a leg of a bird and then say ‘Who is it? What is it? What can it be?’ cheerfully. You can call out a little description too, if you like. YOu can say something like: ‘It is a rough little green tail. What can it be?’ - Hide the toy again.
- Let the children make wild guesses.
- Next, show another part of the toy. Again say: ‘Who is it? What is? What can it be?’
- You can again describe if you like.
- Let the child guess again. Remind the two clues from before.
- Give one more clue and let them guess. If they don’t get it, bring the toy out with much drama and pomp.
- Let the child get a chance to hide now.
My kids love this game. It is fantastic to play when mommy is suck and in bed too. I’ve played this game with my kids in many ways. We have played with blankets , with a shoe box theatre, behind a couch, hiding behind a bed too… it is as much fun as ever.
Do you like this game? Have you played W is for ‘Who is it? What is it? What can it be?’ game with your kids?
