As the year draws to a close, I am looking back at the best of Jeddah Mom 2017. Do you know what were the most loved posts from this year? I have been pretty amused by how much we all love Jeddah and kids! 🙂

Best of Jeddah Mom blog 2017 All the popular posts.

Once a mom, always a mom. What do we mothers want? I guess the most popular posts from 2017 say it all. The top 5 posts this year are :

  1. The best Islamic Toys for Kids
  2. Where to find the Best toys in Jeddah
  3. Muslim Doll Jenna
  4. Ginger Cinnamon Tea
  5. Yanbu Flower Festival and A list of Public Libraries in Jeddah are at a tie.

What does that tell me? We are so ‘mom’ to the core! We want the best for our children. To be precise: we want the best toys, education and entertainment that we can provide for your children. 🙂 SubhanAllah!

It warms my heart that there are other moms like me here. We are all trying to raise little momins who pray and play with passion. From introducing you to the first Hijabi doll to searching for sites looking for the best educational toys- this was my journey. I only share what I love from my heart. It pleases me that my hard work has paid off.

I am happy that we are all mothers who want to raise our children on healthy food and herbal alternatives. We look to nature to find solutions. We take good care of ourselves too. Yes, we are confident and deliberate mothers!

I love our trips to Yanbu. So many of you shared your joy of visiting the Guinness Record site to see the beautiful carpet of flowers. We love to travel with kids and discover the beauty this country has to offer us. I am glad that it is catching up. Through Jeddah Mom, people are seeing that Saudi Arabia is more than just the Holy sites. There are beautiful hill stations, beaches and ruins just waiting to be discovered. I hope inshaAllah, in 2018, I can show you a bit more of this country.

Raising children in expat lands is not easy. Even harder is finding your way around looking for resources to keep yourself entertained as well as motivated. While all these years it was my struggle, this year I met so many friends who have helped me make Jeddah a little more home than it was.

Thank you. JazakAllahu Khayr to all the readers who come here and inspire me to write about my passion: This city, raising children and finding my joy through motherhood. <3

Wishing you all health, happiness and blessings in the new year ahead.
