Growing Dinosaurs
In five years, we have lost three eggs and one crab. The mystery is still unsolved. The eggs are past cases but the Crab… well, we are still trying to find it.
My son loves Dinosaurs Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs. Everyone in our family knows so and recently one of the not-so-distant relative gifted him his very own. There were brightly coloured dinosaurs, a crab and three fishes. The exciting part (for him) was that they were the size of a dime but, when soaked in water became really large slimy creatures. What more does a five year old want?! We call them the ‘Squigglies’.

You can see the crab in the middle there. (Yes, that red one.) Son carried it around in a bucket everywhere in the house… they slept with him, ate with him, studied with him; They were given a bath every other hour through the day and inspected by the Doctor for germs. They had a good life! Then one day, they were all watching TV when one of them disappeared. It was the Crab. The naughtiest of ’em all, we agree. It is no where to be found and I am afraid it is going to go down into the ‘Book of Mysteries’. 🙂
UPDATE:We found it yesterday. It was hiding between the books. Poor thing… has shrunk to tiny and we are trying to ‘revive’ it… 🙂
And? Is it back yet?
Yep! we found it! 😀 Mystery solved… we are taking this case out of our Book of Mysteries! 😀
