The Re-programming
I am back in the ‘I am re-discovering my life’ phase again. Or as I put it more appropriately on my facebook status, ” … needs re-programming“.
Three days, a lot of shopping and a book later, I was done! What I actually did was to go out and buy the tightest jeans that fit my bulging belly and a couple of tops that made Son and Hubby drop everything and take notice. (Best thing about living in Saudi Arabia? You don’t have to wory about being inappropriately dressed when you go out. No matter how skinny your jeans are and how sexy your top is… you have an ABAYA on!!) I changed my wardrobe to look less of my whole 32years self and more of the ‘me’ that I really am (which by the way is something that I am still not exactly sure what is). I have been in need of a good laugh for weeks now. If your sense of humor is not tickled evey so often, it can leave you very grim. So…. I paired the change of wardrobe with the book ‘Shopoholic and Baby’ by Sophie Kinsella. After giggling and laughing out hard every 30seconds, I think I have successfully reprogrammed myself back to my college days. 🙂

Laughter can cure boredom. And when you are looking good, you laugh more. When you are happy, everything looks good. When everything is looking good, you give the best to everything and everyone around you. My son suddenly treats me like I am his age. In the past one week, he has been more chatty (which makes him extremely talkitive now), more fun to get along with and he helps me around and does not argue. Hubby is … well… you know husbands… 🙂
I am still not interested in needles and crafts and have been trying to go back to my old addictions- reading and blog-hopping ( just so that I get caught up with what left me behind, you know? No, I don’t want to elaborate on that. I am confused!) Here is what I have been reading and loving. Do visit them. They are all Indian bloggers and it really felt like the old ‘me’ to read them.
